Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Thank you, Lord, for your great commission, that your apostles went out into the world to share your word. All these many lifetimes later, we lean into your teachings - and their teachings, and apply them in our daily endeavors. And while the world might still be full of wolves, the gospel lives and thrives in countless human hearts.
