John 11:4
This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

Lord, reading your word and reflecting on the virtues can help us change. You teach that of faith, hope, and charity (agape, godly love), charity is the highest, and indeed, all flows forth from your pursuing love of us and our reciprocal love for you. There are so many other virtues that manifest through these three, though - by your love and through our faith, we hope, and through hope we gain wisdom, to understand that even unfortunate events are opportunities through which You are glorified. So let us embrace the day and not fear challenge or setback, but instead praise the Lord, that He will heal the infirm and uplift the downtrodden.
