John 12:25

John 12:25
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Lord God, you shaped our spirit yet also our flesh - and we cling to this flesh, even as it leads us into endless trouble. That grip on our flesh - how much trouble has it caused us? The closer we get to our end, the harder we hang on, and the harder we become. Help us to not let go but change or grip - clinging to the eternal, your Kingdom, and cleaving our spirit to your Spirit.
