Mark 13:11
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

Those earliest believers died - by the blade or the cross they were destroyed, but they were the seed of your Kingdom and the cornerstone of your Church that lives today. Yet still, in countries throughout the world, believers die because they believe. While we shouldn't seek martyrdom or build ourselves up thinking how we can stand firm on that day, help us to be bold today so that our commitment grows and no matter what the world throws against us, we can stay true to you and your teachings and not compromise. For there is no compromise with this world or with those who oppose the Lord.
