And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Jesus, in this moment, God, yet also man, you took our burden from us. And though you knew prophecy and knew the path you must walk, how it must have hurt to take on so much - sinless and the sin offering. Lord, I understand not your trinity nature nor your way and I understand myself probably least of all, except to know I can't do it without you. Please forgive me, for you gave so much and I am still so stubborn and troubled.
