And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Father God, some nights we wrestle and sleep eludes us - as it did with Jacob in the wilderness. And in those early morning hours, as exhaustion meets apprehension, you enter our heart and stillness comes. Thank you for these moments together, that I might start each day on the correct course - hoping and trusting in you.
