Obadiah 1:4

Obadiah 1:4
Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

Father God, your first commandment is to have no other gods before you. I thought this was in your interest, but as I get older I have come to understand how all sin begins with pride - with exaltation of ourselves. Let us be humble today and serve you, our only God, and all the commandments shall be light as a feather.
