Exodus 9:7

Exodus 9:7
And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

Lord, a great mystery has always been the hardening of Pharaoh's heart. Why did it harden? Were you there? Was your Spirit not? And yet, if we know ourselves, we know that moment of hardness - of pride and selfishness. And we know that the harder we are, the farther you are. So while I might not understand completely, what I do know are the consequences. Help me to not harden as Pharoah, and keep my heart open to your voice always.
