Ezekiel 9:6
Ezekiel 9:6
Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
Almighty God, passages like this one challenge people - how can a Holy God allow terrible things to happen? But I think of my own children - when I spoil them or allow them to rampage, is it good? Holiness cannot coexist with evil and a world overrun with evil is certainly not your vision. So I don't know how to reconcile these passages but I pray - that the world embrace good and not rush headlong into evil and its consequences.
