Daniel 6:23
Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Almighty God, there are so many big questions - why do bad things happen to good people? Why do we need to believe? I struggled with the second far more than the first, and while I still don't know the answer, I can certainly see how belief has changed my heart.
