And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

Almighty God, your word always seems to have more layers than I am capable of understanding. Here, Jacob and Laban strike a deal, joining their two families, with Leah the first born and Rebekah the second. Through Jesus, you brought Gentile and Jew together, and I cannot help but wonder at the beauty of it all. Thank you.
