Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
Even as we see it clouding our judgment, we fall under the spell of pride. Father, humble us as Saul was humbled, let us put away the foolishness of pride, and look to you for guidance in all things.
